Learn to learn, learn to live, learn to fly

We are Cabra

We are a Catholic college in Adelaide, South Australia, guided in faith by the Dominican Sisters who started Cabra in 1886. We are a welcoming, inclusive, co-educational environment, providing the ideal setting for students in years 7 to 12 to flourish.

Our Vision

Cabra Dominican College, as a Christian community in the Catholic tradition, strives to nurture and develop the unique gifts of individuals, to liberate them in the search for truth, and to empower them to create a better world.

Our Mission

Our mission is to be a place of excellence in teaching and learning in the Catholic tradition. We have a strong commitment to outreach and social justice and encourage critical thinking and self-confidence. We work to provide a stimulating learning environment, which is holistic, and encourages and supports each teacher and student to be his or her best.

The brief was to construct an animal out of recycled materials, having a unique set of structural and behavioural adaptations to suit it to a particular habitat of their choice. Ms Selby’s Year 7 Art students created soft sculpture monsters using a variety of techniques including knitting, braiding, crochet and pompom-making. Very cool creations from both classes! ...
